Can You Help? Calling all Cooks!
At the moment only 6 people have indicated they are willing to contribute morning tea for the Sesquicentennial – Open Day Morning Tea. Many (more than 200) past students and friends of Colyton Public School will be attending and I encourage the famous cooks of Colyton to send along a contribution to help make the morning tea memorable. I suspect more people are going to contribute but have not had the time to respond via the rsvp - reply slip.
We are seeking the help and support of the famous Cooks of Colyton. If you can make a cake, slice, savoury dish, fudge, muffin, damper, bacclava, sponge cake, Turkish delight, your efforts would be much appreciated.
Please send the reply slip to Mrs Gloria Aarts to let us know and then bring in your culinary morning tea creation on Tuesday 2 August. Donations will need to be taken to the staffroom prior to 9.00am.
Our multicultural food days have certainly revealed that there are many magnificent cooks in Colyton. I have enjoyed the opportunity to sample almost all that comes in on these days and have been very impressed with the tastes, quality and creativity of our parents and friends.
Costumes / Dress up for Open Day
Should you be interested, ‘Giggles' in Queen Street St Marys may be able to assist you. The ladies are still busy sewing new outfits and have suitable items available for hire.
A reminder that students can dress in today's current fashion or dress up as a student may appear 25 years into the future.
Students may, if they wish, wear school uniform on the day.
Memorabilia
Sesquicentennial memorabilia will be available to order throughout Open Day. Items include:
Ø Coffee Cups
Ø Key Rings
Both items celebrate 150 years of quality education at Colyton Public School.
(Must say, the coffee cups with personalised name are excellent value for money)
This section is under construction and will be used to post information regarding our 150 year sesquicentennial celebrations.
150 year Sesquicentennial Celebrations
We view our 150 year sesquicentennial celebrations as our way of demonstrating that we are continually Learning For Sustainability of our lives and way of life as well as our environment. Our future is based upon how we lived yesterday, how we live today and the preferred way we wish to live together tomorrow. One day - one step at a time - all 'moving forward together'.
Parents and friends, ex staff and ex-students are advised that we are planning an Open Day for Tuesday 2 August during Education Week.
Students, staff and parents are invited to wear colonial costumes, period costumes from the past or futuristic costumes to represent what students may dress like looking forward 25 years.
Invitations are being sent out to those people who have contacted the school and registered to attend following advertisements placed in the school's newsletter, and in the Daily Telegraph.
If you are wishing to attend and have not already registered please contact the school on 96258185 and register with Mrs Gloria Aarts.

We have contacted the site host and asked for the correct information to be posted. The site approver has agreed to make a change to the site. If you have registered to attended our planned Open Day and Bush Dance activities through this site (Friends Reunited), I need to let you know that you have not officially registered with us.
